He Is Risen

I know, I know. I said I wasn't going to upload another image until after May 1st... Well, I really wanted to do a picture that I had planned for Easter! This is in celebration of what happened about 2000 years ago back around A.D. 30. Around the time of the Jewish Passover (which started April 2nd this year at sunset), the long awaited Messiah of the Jewish people had been betrayed and murdered by the very people He came to redeem. But that was just it. Through their sinful betrayal He fulfilled a prophecy written by the Prophet Isaiah 700 some years before His birth. The Messiah had been slain to pay the penalty for sinning - both for the Jewish and the whole world! (Isaiah 53). And on the third day according to Jewish time, Sunday morning, He arose from Hell and the grave, proving that He - the God and Creator of the universe incarnate in flesh according to the Jewish Scriptures (Isaiah 7:14) - could not be held by them! Because of what Messiah Jesus did by giving up His life and rising again, all who believe on Him "might have eternal life" (John 3:16), their sins being taken away so that they can spend an eternity with Him - instead of being seperated from Him for eternity in a devil's hell!

It says in the Jewish Scriptures...
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was [crushed] for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people [the Jewish] He was stricken." (Isaiah 53:5-8)

"As it is written [in the Jewish Scriptures]: 'There is none righteous, no, not one;' (Psalm 14:3; 143:2)...For all have sinned and fall short of [God's perfect standard]." (Romans 3:10,23)

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom. 5:8)

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)



This Easter, remember that it was true those many years ago, that God Himself would rather die than spend an eternity without you! God is good all the time! If you haven't yet accepted Him as your personal Savior, why not now this Easter? Have a happy Resurrection Celebration, everyone!
